Parametric Walls

A system of differentiated individual bricks that interlock to produce resistance to lateral loads. The design is a computational update to Thomas Jefferson’s “serpentine walls” found at the University of Virginia, but add additional lateral resistance through asymmetrical balance loading that favors one side over the other—of particular use in retaining walls or similar structures.
